In my first season I finished 4th in the premiership with Everton. Naturally I was very happy about taking Everton in to the champs league in my first season. As fantastic as this achievement was I didn't think it would merit a move to one of Europe's elite clubs so I was very surprised to see me become the "odds-on favourite to replace Mourinho at Real Madrid. After he was sacked I applied and was offered the job which i duly accepted.

I found all this to be quite unrealistic. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

december first season there is speculation that Guardiola will leave Barca at the end of the first season and that i am the odds on favorite to replace him (i'm man united manager, currently second to Arsenal in the prem, never won a trophy and only been in managemant for six months!!)

I was managing Arsenal on last season's FM, and around January 2010 I got offered the Brazil manager job three times in less than two weeks. I declined all three times ^^)

Maybe because your past experience is set to International Player. That means bigger clubs will want you as manager

im middlesbrough manager just got promoted walked the first season only lost twice and have been offered the valencia job and fulham job , i rejected both and im preparing to finish in the top half of the premiership in my first season hopefully :)

Not at all unrealistic. I'd be feeling hard done by if I were you, anyone who can get Everton performing to a champions league standard deserves a knighthood let alone another job offer.

Do you think an unkown manager being in charge of everton is a tad unrealistic too ;)
but yeah i guess it is, but if your at a successful club witha good rep in a good league i guess thats taken into account when clubs are looking for new managers

Try starting off managing Darlington (just been relegated) and now in Blue square, with no money, with no football experience set for reputation.. lol

i finished 5th with Everton got offered the Sevilla job
