"Experience"

So, how does FM14 define experience, e.g.

Would having these players for a newly promoted squad have different effects:

1. An older player with experience of the league
2. An older player with the stats/ca for the league but has never played in it (from the same nation)
3. An older player that has won trophys

Would there be much difference between this type of experience player when looking to beef up after promotion?

The reputation I believe would make the other players think they are a great addition so that's positive but other than that I don't think it has that much effect, "favourite personnel" is more effective as they tend to play better together.
