Are you getting irritated at all these possession tactics that retain the ball so fluidly just to let in 5 goals in the last 15 minutes? Would you rather have a tactic that can retain possession and attack fluidly but also defend solidly as a disciplined unit? Then look no further than last years, FM13's, very own revolution; Fantastic 3-6-1 (FM13). And now it's here in time for FM14!

HOW IT WORKS:
Fantastic 3-6-1 employs a grittier, more disciplined style of football, designed to be effective at the cost of being attractive. It uses tough tackling midfielders and relies on a solid back 3 and 2 marauding wing backs. It's focus point is the intelligent movement of the false #9, the incisive runs from the inside forward and the creative play of the advanced play maker. This isn't to say that the tactic is ugly, at times the football can be breathtaking and exhilarating. On the defensive stability; This tactic will see your team pull off countless interceptions and will close down with extreme dedication and work rate.
--
HOW TO USE IT:
Leave match preparation and training to your assistant manager.
Use the correct type of players. (See below)
--
Player Recommendations (Type of player only):
GK: A solid goalkeeper, who is comfortable in distribution and holding onto the ball.
SW: A ball playing defender. (Example; Bonucci, Alderwierld, Vertonghen)
CD: Same as sweeper.
WB: Lots of stamina and work rate. (Example; Armero, Zuniga, Asamoah)
BWM: Tackling, Marking and Passing. (Example; Pogba, Vidal, Yacob)
IF: Winger with pace who can finish. (Example; Insigne, Giovinco, Gaitan)
AP: Winger with good creativity, passing, finishing. (Example; Honda, Cazorla, Ozil)
ST: Someone who can pass and be creative, yet also finish. (Example; Tevez, Aguero)

PS:
As I don't want to ruin my reputation as someone who makes good tactics, this will be my last one for the foreseeable future. There is obviously a lot of things wrong with the match engine and no tactic is going to solve that, I just hope this tactic can at least stop you conceding half of the **** goals that seem to be scored a lot. I will be back as soon as they have patched everything wrong with the game. I'll keep an eye on this thread though and try to make improvements.
