Favourite movie

Robin Hood was awful, any Robin Hood film has the potential to be great but this was utter ****.
I really liked it. It was nice to see a robin hood film set before the legend began. Acting was good (enough), set piece battles were good, and the soundtrack was immense, one of my favourites ever (along with gladiator and the last samurai ones). Plus there was a bit of humour in it.

For a ridley scott & russel crowe film it's definately not on the level of gladiator (which I actually forgot in my list, better add it in), but still a good film.

What did you two hate about it? Assuming you watched it because you have an interest in epic films?

Nevermind then, I forgot a discussion works when people give opinions without any reasons.

It's opinion, rather than a discussion thread. If everyone liked the same films, life would be boring. Granted you like Robin Hood, personally, I thought it was ***.

Reasons: Russell Crowe sounds about as English as Shane Warne. There was about.. 5mins of action, at the end. They managed to drag out a storyline that should have lasted for about a hour, which should have then been followed by him actually doing some Robin Hood stuff. Personally, I much preferred the TV version on the BBC, granted it was of a lower budget, but they had more time to develop the characters and most, if not all, the episodes actually had something happening in them, rather than the film, where I was losing interest easily, mainly because it was so slowly paced and had minimal action.

You will likely disagree with me, but hey that's what lifes about. End of the day, it's one of your favourite films, but personally I doubt I will ever watch it again, and if I do, it wont be by choice.

I watched it out of boredom on my way across the Atlantic. I also watched the Clash of the Titans remake, to put things in perspective. It was a very grim journey. I disliked everything you said you liked about Robin Hood. However, most glaringly, the plot was utter gash.

No Disney Classics? Shame on you people

Lion King. best. movie. evah.

Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Leon, Pulp Fiction - Are the best, in my opinion.

Fight Club was a let down for me. I do like Norton and Pitt, but just thought that it was cack. But right about Sourcecode-more holes than swiss cheese

You no longer exist to me. :(

A few of us named the toy story trilogy? :/

My favourite film ever has got to be Shawshank redemption. Mind you, I do love Saving Private Ryan... On top of Toy story trilogy also, I really enjoyed Up. Also, forrest gump, the green mile and I can't believe no one has mentioned these two 80s classics: Back to the Future and Stand By Me!
