I have been hugely inspired by PatrickLFC's story Malmo FF - A Swedish adventure and thought I would have a go at my first story.
I will be taking over a huge Swiss club, FC Basel and seeing if I can create some more huge wonderkids while also pushing for Champions league success.

Basel - A history:
Since their formation in 1893, they have dominated Swiss football. Winning 19 titles and 12 cups, they have been unchallenged in their efforts for greatness. Despite domestic success, FC Basel are yet to have pushed for European glory. At best they have reach the Quarter-finals in the Champions league in 1973-74. While also reaching the Semi-finals of the Europa league in 2012-13.
FC Basel are mainly known around the world for their creation of now professional footballers such as Xhedran Shaqiri, Ivan Rakitic, Gokhan Inler and Granit Xhaka. That is just to name a few, they have created many a number of players who are now known around world football to be at least middle class footballers.
One of the clubs biggest legends is Josef Hugi, he is by far the most prolific goal scorer at the club. Managing to score 244 goals during his time at the club, making himself the league top goal scorer, 145 goals ahead of the nearest competitor.
I am here and looking to rewrite history and to turn FC Basel into a dominant and feared european force.
