Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson declares his side performed like "champions" to beat West Ham.

We did effectively play like Champions, Comebacks like that are massive, espicially with Arsenal and Chelsea dropping points.
 
Great champions performance from United, shame Rooney swore on tele, and forced Sky into making a public apology about it!

Pretty certain United will win the league now, Arsenal just keep drawing, and, United just win.
 
Im getting really tired of teams bending over and waiting to get bummed by Man Utd. Its getting boring

Yeah, So going 2-0 up and attacking us for 45 minutes, was waiting for us to bummed them, think before you type.
 
Second half West Ham didnt have the same attacking force and were sitting back hence waiting to get bummed

They where 2-0 up and got **** all of the ball, United allowed them none of the ball, thats how good we where.

It was a poor decision by the manager for the second half, and they needed to press united, but take nothing away from our second half performance, Rooney was very good, Giggs had a superb game at left back, and the fact that we brought Hernandez on again and he scores again just shows again why everyone hates us, because we can play like champions.

Yep agree with you there about West Ham needing to press, but they didnt. If they had of done then they could have taken the three points

True, but then again pressing too much may have tired them out and then lose the match anyway.

Really, we will never know, but I think West Ham really tried too much too early and were simply burned out by the time we score the first goal. When you play big teams like United, you need to know there will be a time when they will be completely on top. Just like Blackburn yesterday, they were bombarded in the last 10 minutes, but they could hold on.
 
To come from 2-0 behind to beat any team is a good result and especially by a extra 2 goals.

Overall Man Utd did play well in the second half but would have like to see West Ham hold on. Credit to Man Utd though like *JK* says 2-0 down then win by 2 is a good result. (probably a defining day in the season imo)
 
If this was us we would have crumbled and lost 3-0

thats the difference between us. Utd never now when they are beaten, whereas we just go into our shell :(

That last line is exactly right man, and is usually the difference between champions and second place.

Grant should of defended it with a 6-3-1 XD! Seriously though, West Ham really should of played higher up, maybe with a sweeper like Ben Haim to sweep up.
