In my third season with Sorrento, just been promoted to Serie B. My problem is the club seems to be losing lots of money and is in heavy debt. In all 3 seasons, I have never paid a transfer fee for any player. My highest wage is £1,700 pwk and average wage is around £750 pwk (This is from memory, i'm actually at work at the moment! I'll post my finances when i get home (H)). My main expenditure seems to be wages and debt repayments. The club has just expanded the stadium to 4k capacity (Huge, I know!) and I thought this and promotion would help us make a slight profit. However, the average attendance is still only around 1,200 and the club is still hemorrhaging money! Im just wondering if there is anything I can do to boost the clubs finances aside from selling my best players. Im playing realistically, and have cut the wage bill down to £26,200 and lowered my own manager's wage to £1,000 pwk, im not sure if this helps at all.

Could anyone offer some advice?

maybe playing friendlies against big clubs will help you get money but also as you got promoted all your players wages went up by 25% so that could be a big influence in the deficit

Tips to increase Finance

1. Play as many friendlies as you can against Big Clubs at home to bring in money, maybe even play a few Friendly Cups at Home

2. Send all Reserve Team players on loan except for the ones you think you will need and propose clubs that are interested inn taking these players on loan to pay full wages

3. Request your Board to search for a Feeder Club in another Country which will boost the profile of your club in that Country, this will lead to a huge cash inflow into your club as your merchandising sales will increase greatly

4. If you get promoted to Serie A I am probably willing to bet that your Finances will increase due to Tv Revenue and stuff so maybe until then you will have to suffer

Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice guys. I've noticed that a fair few wages did get bumped on due to promotion. We're getting TV revenue in Serie B which helps, but the board keep turning down my request for a feeder club and they wont even allow me to renegotiate my contract so I can reduce my own wage. As for reserve players, I've cancelled nearly all reserve and under-18 contracts to save money. Even stadium rent is costing me, which is annoying as its very rare that the club fills even half the stadium :@.

Heres my finance screen

cant do much except keep playing friendlies then, try reducing staff wages 2, I am pretty sure if u continue going like this the owner of the club will sell the club to a fan trust or another person so u have hope

Seems like thats all I can do, I'm trying to reduce the wage bill and I'm just going to hope we avoid administration. :(
