I'm not the best at the game but I started with Norwich promoted first season, consolidate the second in the PL and a 9th place finish the third winning the FA Cup. But i thought i'll just use a team like Manchester City and mess about buy Hulk, Hazard and have a bit of fun but i wasn't going to pay the 59 million they wanted for Hulk and the 30 million for Bassong and couldnt really find many players worth buying to improve the team. I find it much more satisfying starting with a poor team and building my way up.

Also, with Holt and Jackson up top game they score 2 each the next game they get a rating of 6 if i'm lucky. It must be what i'm saying in the team talk or press but what am i saying wrong?

And my game save has just corrupted FML. Back to the start. XD

No i feel you mate, FM its really hard, its not easy being a lower team or a big team, i think im really good because ive played these games since CM-01/02. I feel its not easy. Of course its easier being Manchester City instead of Norwich, but the main reason is that you need to build your squad. For example, if you manage City and you buy 7-8 players and sell about 5-6 players it maybe will take a while for the team to get to know each other in how they should play. Im managing West Ham right now on a new save, just finished my first season, i finished 8th in the league so im quit satisfied. I think the main reason for doing it well is have good trainers, good staff, good morals, not buy so many players in one season. Buy smart players who fits for your team and in every posisjon, dont buy players of they big names. but do good scouting and see if this players fits for your team. And if you set up your own training schedule too is a important key for success. Good Luck M8!
I really love and hate this game haha

Yeah i find it so much more satisfying turning an average team into a great one and bringing success to the underdog, i built a decent young squad with Norwich comfortably on a smallish budget. I love the game but its just so frustrating when your striker blasts 4 or 5 one or ones straight at the goalie or wide and i'm 2-0 up and crusing then suddenly Cardiff get 2 lucky goals to eaqualise.

HAHA i just feel the same way. I almost was deleting my save this season because carlton cole and demba ba was blasting of all the time.. its so frustrating, you see they play well and they have only goalie to beat, and they they shoot a horrible strike beside the goalie or the shot is on the goalie and weak as ****. so this season i have individual finishing training on my strikers hoping that will do it! I know..i had to pinch myself of finishing 8th. But it was a struggle, had 5 defeats the 5 first games haha. This save is with my friend online. So i want to start a new save that i can have on my own, i was thinking in the championship, how is it managing Norwich? Do you have a team to recommend for me?

Went 3-2 down but managed to win 5-3 with Jackson coming off the bench to score a brace haa. I've only really managed Norwich because there the team i support but i find it brilliant to be honest. My first save with them i spent 3 seasons with them and made a huge progression each season with a reasonable transfer budget makes it impossible to buy big name players so you have to find little gems, i hadd just had a new chairman and was spending my 40 million transfer budget at the start of my 4th season until the save corrupted. This time i'm second by three points in October, all i've signed it 2 inside forwards, a centre back and a right back on loan for backup. Korey Smith is a brilliant prospect and Lansbury who is on loan is a key player but very hard to get the second season. The team are destined to fail but right up there in the mix just like in real life.

What team do you support cos i suggest using them its so satisfying.

Wow, 40 million? in the premier league then? or still in the championship? I support Manchester United. Ive been them, ive been many teams but always willing to try something new, never tried in the lower english divisions yet. So maybe i will start a new one as soon as im finished from work, its friday today, so that is FIFA 11 and FM 11 day! haha

Yeah fourth season in the Premier League and new investors so all was dandy. It's all good being lower division teams but the one struggle is your teams reputation. I can't sign young gems from big teams because they don't want to join but hey ho part of the game. Haa to right mate, FIFA, FM and a nice cold beer on a sunny day. Haha
