Finding a good Director of Football?s

Basically I was wondering what sort of attributes etc. I should be looking out for if I wanted to get a new D of F in, as (presumably) my current one doesn't look up to scratch.
I'm playing as plymouth argyle.

Judging player ability, potential and probably man management...that's what I have been using.
Playing as Everton I signed up Dave Parnaby for the role.
