Today it was announced under mysterious circumstance's that none other than club legend Kenny Dalglish would be joining the club after Roy Hodgeson's sudden heart attack last week, Hodgeson is recovering well in hospital but won't be fit to manage in the near future so Liverpool took the decision to replace him and Dalglish was the favourite to be offered the job with odds slashed virtually hours after Hodgeson was relieved of his duties at the club.​

The announcement was made on the clubs website during the early hours of the morning with club source's saying Dalglish was very happy to be back at the club he loves and hope's to stop the decline of the once mighty merseyside club.​

Steven Gerrard spoke out stating 'he hoped Dalglish would bring as much success as he endured as a player' whilst other crucial squad members such as Torres and Carragher are said to be happy with the appointment.​

According to other source's at the club Dalglish has set his sights on ex Chelsea star Joe Cole and hopes a deal can be wrapped up sooner rather than later. Other players attracting Dalglish's intrest are William Gallas, Marco Verratti whose highly rated in Italy and Micheal Bradley who would be coming in on loan from Gladbach. Dalglish is desperate to sign a striker to partner star Fernando Torres who was unhappy at the club but was impressed with the boards decision to bring a Liverpool legend back to the club ....​

As shown by the results Dalgish's return to Liverpool has so far gone quite well but this only tells half the tale, Liverpool have dominated every team they've played so far literally playing youth players with a mix of a few star men to get their match fitness up, the future is looking very bright for Liverpool Football Club.

Liverpool have reportedly signed Ex Chelsea star Joe Cole on a 3 year deal earlier today after he turned down a better deal from Manchester United stating he wanted to play football under Dalglish as he knew his brand of football would involve him and Manchester United was a club he felt he wouldn't be able to show his potential at. The free agent who has 54 England caps to his name with 10 goals scored is said to be over the moon at signing for such a well supported club and was aiming for European glory. Their were other signings announced along with Cole, the £10m acquisition of Spanish attacking winger Carmelo was the biggest unveiled but others such as Micheal Bradley and Ricardo Osorio have stirred up enthusiasm at the merseyside club
