FM 12 Editor not working after install using STEAM

upon installing editor, windows shuts down the program saying there's an error...please help!!!

Funny that you emphasise the use of steam, because pirate copies of the game cause this exact problem when using the editor.

If you in fact running a legal copy of the game, have you tried reinstalling the editor via steam, and if neessary reinstalling steam itself?
