FM 2012 - Substitution bug when playing network game

I don't know if any of you have experienced this but when I make a substitution when playing online the game slows down to slowest possible speed. This is really annoying. Especially if a player get injured in the 2nd minute or something. I can count to 10 before it takes one minute in game.
Any thoughts about what I can do to fix this? A game with max speed and commentary takes 15 - 20 mins.

Are you playing the match with your friend? if yes by going into the team screen slows down the game.

This could be something to do with the hosts connection because I have purchased a new router and it does not lag at all now.

Or could be a game thing.

yeah exact same thing happens to mine. it takes ages to speed back up after making a sub or change of tactics. I'm just playing it on a new laptop, not on the network, so it must be something in the game. but it only started happening recently so i think its to do with a steam update. It messes up the matches rhythm!
