FM 2013 - Trying to create my own league and competitions

I am trying to create my own league(s) and competition(s) for me and my friends to play with in a network game. I have tried duplicating the Premier League and the English cup competitions but it just won't work! If anybody can help me I would be very grateful. I am trying to create something like people on here have created - like a Super League for example

Have you used "Add Nation Rules"? I know when I first started using the editor I didn't really know what it did. I was making cup competitions and setting the Premier League as the parent division, but for some reason they just weren't showing up. You have to go to "Add Nation Rules" in order to add your league or cup to the existing structure, or alternatively replace the old one entirely. This is where you choose which teams qualify, how relegation / promotion is handled, prize money... basically the fun stuff. Give it a go, and if you're having a specific problem then come back and we'll see what we can do.
