FM 2022 - Pentagon Challenge

Been doing the pentagon challenge for a few seasons and decided to write the story so far here.
As the challenge rules I started unemployed with no badges and sunday league experience.
I present you João Santos that for some reason in english and his favourite team is Tottenham Hotspur

João Santos was hired by SC Jiuniu mid 2021 season the team was 10th predicted to be 9th (somehow that got the previous manager fired).
A somewhat okaish team for this division but not great.

Some great performances and SC Jiuniu ends in 7th, 7 points from promotion

Not bad for a half season let's try and do better next season

New season same squad. The 4-3-3 worked well for João Santos with the holy trinity of Jiraqi - Nan Song - Ruan Jun controlling the game's tempo and Pierce Waring an exquisite center forward.

At the end of the season SC Jiuniu is 2nd being promoted to the chinese Super League

A great season for SC Jiuniu and João Santos winning Manager of the year

Season 2023, SC Jiuniu first time in Super League and things dont look good. The team is expected to finish last with an odd to win of 1-1000 it is going to be a battle to avoid relegation.

With an initial sequence of good results SC Jiuniu find themselves on 2nd place behind Guangzhou FC

Half of the season passes and SC Jiuniu is comfortable in 2nd place with a rift between them and 1th place Guangzhou FC.
At the end with clinical finishing and an iron defense SC Jiuniu only loses 5 match being crowded champion after being marked for relegation

Season 2024 still high on last season miracle, João Santos brings the previous season First Division goalscorer the portuguese Nuno Ferras, Tottenham's central midfielder Matthew Craig and Chelsea's winger Edwin Andersson to bring some creativity and challenge for the Asian Champions League.
Just like the season before SC Jiuniu has a great sequence of result at the beginning of the season but still at the next transfer window they find themselves 8 points behind Beijing managed by french legend Laurent Blanc.

At the Asian champions league and with a difficult draw, SC Jiuniu is able to get out at the of of group F

In the 2nd round SC Jiuniu would play against Sydney FC that weren't having a great season...things were looking promising
Until

3-1 heavy defeat where they were truly outclassed showing that a lot more was necessary to be crowded Asian Champions

Being eliminated meant that SC Jiuniu could focus on the Super League and after a big dip in form from Beijing SC Jiuniu win the Chinese Super League for the 2nd time in a row, trully unbelievable
