fm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

i have finished installing the fm2011..when im started to play, a error appered as:

"fm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience"


then i click on the detail of error and on the error signature as this:

AppName:fm.exe AppVer:11.0.0.23179 ModName:fm.exe
ModVer:11.0.0.23179 Offset:0104c9a9


expert, please help me...its so annoying.....

Have you tried reinstalling?

What are your computer specs?

i got the game from my friend.dvd one..ive tried many tried and reinstalling back n the error is still appear.
anyway, my computer specs :

Interl(R) Core (TM)2 Duo Cpu
E8400 @ 3.00 GHz
2.99 GHz, 3.21 GB of RAM

Add to that have you been using an editor?

i never use the editor after the first installation

I just got a similar problem.

Was holidaying, had been using the editor (roughly 500 DB Changes), and Computer Specs are as follows:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
T5670 @ 1.80 GHz
1.79 GHz, 1.85GB of RAM

If you have Vista as your operating system that is likely the problem. Vista is a piece of poo that should have never made it onto the market.

id say try running as administrator. that might work, or install the latest patch.
