FM Patch 11.3 - NOT ABOUT RELEASE DATE

I am just wondering if someone would be able to tell me whether or not I need to start a new save file when patch 11.3 comes out if I want the bugs in the game to be fixed. I do not care for the database just bug fixes. Thanks
 
Bug fixes shouldn't require a new game.
But game engine changes may muck up your tactic. so be mindful if you start to underperform after patch, you may need to tweak your tactic.

I believe so yes. Would need someone with more knowledge about patch's, since I've only really been playing this game for couple months, to back me up.

of course. however your tactic will only suffer if it works by exploit any weakness in the me that has been fixed
 
And another update - having finally found out what the issue was, and fixing it (the issue would only have happened on some hardware, and the code concerned is 4 years old, so it's been in there for a while) we spent the whole weekend "soak" testing (ie - having the game run without a human playing it in a special holiday mode that still does some actions) and it ran the whole weekend, on well over 100 machines, without crashing, which is very good news indeed.

Now the process of "sweep" testing has started (where a bunch of human testers try and break the game, and test out every option). This normally takes 3 days, so if all goes to plan, the data update and patch should be out this week.

On steam, well it's updating Football Manager so I assumed it's the patch.
 
It is the patch checked on a new game
