Basically it's about the realism of fm. On my first season I have managed to come 4th with Southampton when IMO that wouldn't ever happen. And the top teams never seem to start there strongest available squad for instance I just played city and aguero and kompany was on the bench and they had john guidetti up top. Also it looks like they have signed townesend and he is starting over navas, I just don't see that as realistic as well? Lastly at the end of the team talk against city my assistant feedback is 'we should really be wining matches like these' why the **** should I be winning against city.
What are peoples thoughts on this ??

This should belong here, I think http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/foot...sion/143779-post-your-frustations-thread.html

Also, have you looked at Southampton's form lately? They've been pretty good..

Also, ever considered that Soton may not be considered top opponents by City, and hence they could be starting with their reserves, thus resting their players for more important matches..?

Also, as for you winning, it depends more on how you've played the game, than who your opponents are, sometimes.. If you had lots of chances, wasted too many opportunites, etc, then your assistant manager'll probably say that.

Thanks for your reply. You've made some fair points. But it was the last game of the season and pellergrini was determined they was going to smash me so I don't believe they would of rested their best players. Also the townesend signing makes no sense..

Who's your assistant? This is quite realistic - if your assistant doesnt have decent stats in important categories then ....
