FM Working Slow Arrrrrrrgh!

my fm is playing really slowly...my laptop has plenty of ram etc however games seem to process really slowly. I have done everything to fix this ie small database, only commentary during games I need help. Processing fixtures slowly more responsive doesnt seem to help either

Ram is important, but CPU is just more important

What are your laptop's specifications?

I would:
1. Run CCleaner
2. Run a Virus scan
3. Run Windows update, update drivers ect.
4. Defrag

Start > Run > type in "dxdiag" without the quotes

Paste the info
Also get the info from the Display tab.
