Fm10 problem , please help

I accidentally changed an FM setting from the preferences. I Made the display 40Hz instead of the default 60Hz.
Now when i open FM it tells me optimum mode and it stays black so i cannot change it back to 60HZ.

IS there any another way of getting into the settings ?

I dont think so mate but if you were to reinstall your game it should go back to the default setting. Just make sure you backup your saves so you can reload them.

I tried deleting all files and uninstalling the game but still settings dont come to default.

Try deleting the settings folder? ...

C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\settings

ive tried deleting thesettings file as you told me but still when i press the game it tells me not optimum mode.

Go into screen resolution in Control panels, try changing that.
