FM11 Not responding

Alright, so this is really annoying me. I start a new game, i select the leagues i wanna load, and press confirm. So the issue comes here. It usually takes around 2-3 minutes for me to load the leagues. But all the sudden a few days ago it started saying "Football Manager 2011 is not responding". It is still loading the leagues, but it is taking me around 10 minutes to load the leagues now.

Has anyone ever come across this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it just black screen? Or do you get the error message?

If it's just black screen, wait, mine does it, seems to be loading in the background and will return once it loads up.

Sounds to me like you have a virus eating your V-ram...
Either that or have you downloaded any new software recently? If programs are running in the backround it will slow things down and possibly cause that message mate.

It loads it perfectly fine, but always says 'Not Responding' . I don't have a virus, already scanned it twice.

I haven't really downloaded anything. Gonna try and run a de-frag tomorrow.
