game is running fine for me mate, try a smaller database.

What's your game speed star rating?

Preferences > Detail level > Estimated game speed

ur computer obviously aint good enough for large databases, also dont have any music playing in the background or anything

im doing fine even his core 2 duo 1.83, windows vista and 2 gig ram, running on a large database. maybe your hard disk is full or your graphic card does not meet the requirements

or maybe u have been doing stuff on ur comp ur not supposed to be doing lol

Mine is half a star out of 5, but mines runs fm2010 smooth, while I'm also playing music, surfing the net, and streaming football.
My Pc is not fantastic either,

Pc Spec
Pentuim D 3.5ghz, 1.5gig of Ram, ATI Radeon 1650 X 512mb, Windows XP Home

So the star rating not accurate in my case

Not running anything in background, I have it up to 5 stars running small database now although was 4.5 stars with english, spanish, italian and scotish leagues checked on large database. just updated java and also graphics card drivers and still no improvement. Can run most latest games and 1900x1200 res on 32bit and mostly high settings. PC only 10 months old. Was just at si games forums and loads of people having same issue :( people with uber PC's running it and its so slow it's unplayable and people with average PC's not having any problems at all.

Again my spec:
Windows Vista
Nvidia 9800XT 512mb
Quad core 2.4ghz
600gig HDD
4gig ram

your pc is too good for it lol, buy an old one :)

lol, yours is like 4 or 5 times better than mine. i onli have 2.5 stars running on a large database and 1.5 stars with just english, spanish and italian, though it has been fairly smooth for me. if the problem persist, maybe you can reinstall it or you can set the speed of the game to fastest (cant interrupt) in preferences

Already tried re-installing and already have cant interrupt setting checked :'(

Slow, on the pitch?

I had that I just turned Fans of it helps, less lively but its worth it!

I always found turning sound off helped on slower computers.

when ur makin ur game at the bottom it has 2star rain charts, 1 is computer strength other is game speed it goes by size of database selected and number of leagues slected thats wer ul see.

I have A Fujitsu Siemens Amilo
like 50gb hard-drive
1/2 star rating
but its ok the majority of the time
only have FM on it, I have removable hard-drive for music and stuff

I wouldn't say that the database size has a big effect on the performance. With a small database you just get fake players instead of the real ones. The main thing that slows down the game is the amount of leagues selected. Also check your fixture processing speed and settings. I have an ancient 2.4G Celeron with 512MB Ram and with three nations selected it takes 3-4 minutes maximum to process loads of fixtures.

lol :$, i think u should mate ....
btw i always play with the star rate about 4,5 ... (large database >> italian serie b, spanish second div, and england ccl2) ...
if i run the game with less than 3 star would it be okay ?
coz i'm trying to get larger player database .... thx ..
