I run FM2011 on my secondary display whilst I watch a movie/browse the web/chat/check email/etc. on my other display. When I click outside the game on my other monitor, it minimizes the game everytime. I cannot seem to be able to watch a movie full screen and play the game at the same time, because it disables the full screen everytime I click the game, and it minimizes the game everytime I click the media player full screen option.

Is there a way to keep this from happening? Is there a way to make FM2011 always stay active when it's running so that it doesn't minimize whenever I click on the other monitor?

Thanks

I use two monitors and I just have FM in windowed mode. This way it stays open on one monitor whilst I have something else open on the other. To set FM to windowed mode go into preferences - display & sound and then tick the box.

Yeah its because you have it full screen, as soon as you click the other monitor you're essentially clicking your desktop, minimising all other windows. Playing in windowed mode is your best/ only solution

I'm using Actual Multiple Monitors to solve this problem. It contains the feature "ignore deactivation" (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-I by default) wich allows to any application stay fullscreen when it losing focus. i.e. stay fullscreen when you ckick anywhere on secondary monitor.

This ^^
It's exactly what I do too.

Also, if it is a movie you are watching then it's probable that the media player will have an "Always On Top" option, rather than doing it in FM.
