Hi all, my fm2011 has suddenly became slow and unresponsive, the matches also take a lot longer now. My computer performance stars usually 5 star but now 2.5. Has anyone experienced this and do you have any ideas how i can get my fast performance back?

Im running; England, Italy, Spain and Germany on a large database

My Pc Is Quad core 3.00ghz 8gb Ram 1gb Hd Video and im running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

Thanks
Tommy

You been downloading much pr0n?

Been installing much since you last played?

Your computer is far too good for it to be going slow!

Shut down the computer recently (I find it helps)

I'd just turn off 3D pitch and terminate unneccessary applications.

No ****, not installed much, i have stutting down, and restarting regularly just incase it helps but its not, the game is frustrating me now, its usually so fast

Could your comp have been running a virus scan or something similar in the background?

Finally prolem solved, i just deleted Folder:
- C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive
- C:\Users\(user)\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive
and everything is going smooth again!

found this on the sigames forums

I found it also helps to defrag the drive once a month aswell

You should really do it once a week, but anyway ;)

Weekly? Me missus said monthly (she's worked with loads of pc's in department store). I thought weekly may wear down the drive or something. But if its weekly, will start doing it each friday. Cheers for the tip

Well no, it won't. Hard drives are made to withstand the wear. Arguably not defragging relatively often is worse, since the drive will have to spin futher before finding the next block in a file. Adding that up over the period of a month, and the extra rotations the drive has made when compared to one that has been defragged weekly, I think you would find would be substantial.
