Currently in the 2025/26 season, nearly at the end of December, and this is where I'm up to:
I've shared two screenshots of my first choice and second choice starting elevens, which you'll notice have barely any Newcastle players that you start FM23 with - the rest of the squad are players I've signed.
I'm sat second in the league with a game in hand (I actually won that game 3-0 whilst typing this), and top of the weird Champions League table where I have already qualified with two games in hand.
Josko Gvardiol and Giorgio Scalvini are forming a brilliant partnership at centre back, but I'm in desperate need of a back-up right back in the January transfer window as Tariq Lamptey is playing every single game, and he's pretty tired now.
The first choice midfield three of Ruben Neves (DM), Eduardo Camavinga & Enzo Fernandez (CM's) run every game, and the wingers - Ferran Torres, Matheus Cunha, Marcos Leonardo, Anthony Gordon, and Yeremy Pino - all weigh in with plenty of goals, whilst assisting Aleksander Isak and Endrick.
Though I'm up there competing for winning the league, I'd still take Top 4 - which would be my third Top 4 finish in a row - and an FA Cup win. Silverware is the only thing that has evaded me so far, so I think it's time to end the trophy drought!
