FMRTE dotnetfx40_client set up problem

Hi
I have downloaded the FMRTE file and then on install it asks me to get update. I followed the link and installed it, before it does it asks me to either Repair or Remove. Trying repair goes through everything ok and askes to restart. I restart and nothing so presumably all ok but no... Back to the same when trying to install fmrte. Tried removing and it tells me to remove both but ive no idea how.
Any Help?

download the compressed version and unzip it instead of using the installer

its a bug in the first version.

it won't work anyway as the game has auto updated with steam, so you will have to wait for a new version of fmrte.

I had the same problem. i fully uninstalled .net 4 from my system, then installed.full .net 4 from the microsoft website and now its working fine.
