FC Metz unveil new manager, Approach.

Newly promoted side, FC Metz have unveiled their new manager this morning in unknown English rookie, TheTacticalApproach. Approach has little to no managerial history and it is a shock for the fans of the French top division club. However the clubs chairman, Bernard Serin said, "Trust me when I say this, but the lad has a lot of potential and I could see that in him when he had his interview with me. I think the players will gel brilliantly with him as he has a very positive attitude and I think that will certainly rub off on the players!"

The league campaign began for Metz against Lille with the newly promoted side looking forward to their return to the top flight.

The result was a rather disappointing one for the visitors however there were some positives to take from the game and it was against one of France's 'elite' clubs at the moment. Personally, we played well, especially in the second half but Lille were just too much for us and rightfully came away with the points. I was pleased with Marchal, who not only scored the goal for us, but continued to play with great passion. I look forward to the next game against easier opposition in Nantes!
