Football Just got Continental.

Paris was the venue chosen by UEFA for this very much anticipated press confreres.
The changes proposed were radical, such of which had not been seen since the restructuring of the European Champion Clubs' Cup in 1992. Though this was completely different, this was to be the establishment of a new European League.

Michel Francois Platini takes the floor.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you all for coming here.
Today marks a day that will long come to define European football.

Europe is changing

borders are being broken down and national differences are becoming less and less.
We feel football should also follow this trend. Which is why we would proudly like to
announce, the formation of the UEFA League of Europe.

The UEFA League of Europe will involved one League structure for all European clubs to participate in.
34 of Europeans Top National Divisions have been invited to compete in the Qualification phase of this competition.

Structure will be as follows

UEFA League of Europe

1st Division
16 Teams

2nd Division
36 Teams
(2 groups of 18 teams)

3rd Division
72 teams
(4 groups of 18 teams)

4th Division
72 teams
(4 groups of 18 teams)

Clubs shall go through a 4 year qualifications period. Through participation in their Domestic league, teams will gain points and gain qualification to the UEFA League of Europe. There are 3 stages of Qualification.

Stage 1: In each year, the winners of the top 6 Ranked European Competitions shall gain Automatic qualification for the European league: 48 teams in total. If teams retain their title, that years place shall go to the winner of the National Cup. If the team wins both division and cup, This place was be forfeited to step 2.

Stage 2: Through participation in your domestic leagues over a 4 year period. Teams shall gain points based on games won and their goal difference. After the qualification period ends, the Top 100 ranked teams shall gain automatic qualification to the UEFA League of Europe.

Stage 3: All remaining European teams will enter a knock out competition to decide the remaining 72 places.

In short

Stage 1: 24 Champion Teams qualify
Stage 2: top 100 seeded Teams
Stage 3 Remaining European teams
enter KO-tournament for last 72 places.

As of the 2013/14 season, the national leagues are ranked as follows

I'm going to holiday 4 seasons to get the Champions.
Then tally up the 43 European League performances to seed the teams, picking 100
And then Using the editor, creating a competition with the remaining teams with 72 places up for grabs.

then once all that is done, The save will really start as I'll be filling in the teams into their respective league (via edditor) but we can all decided who I manage. I'll be posting updates every 6 months during the holidaying so we might end up falling in love with a few teams, or rooting on yer favorites as the race for the the Seeding comes to a close. . . . .No one wants to enter the KO comps since only 72 teams will be left.

Qualifying Period Two is now over
View attachment 377048The Top 6 Competitions remain unchanged, though the Liga BBVA has overtaken the Barclays Premier League.
The Premier League should be worried about dropping in reputation points as it will affect the seeding of their teams.

Cheers mate. It all came to me last night and I was really excited about it. There's been a few shocks creep up and teams qualifying ahead of the big guys you'd expect. This Save is going to be interesting as it looks like each tier of the League will have difficult teams to deal with.

Will some Estonian teams qualify also or only team from the leagues shown in the first post?

Qualifying Period Four is now over
View attachment 376986The forth and final year of the Qualifiers shows huge changes in Europe. The Barclays Premier League has dropped in reputation and English teams will now suffer a -0.1 penalty to their seeding scores (for the 2016/17 season). Portugal have also lost their automatic Qualifications spot to Russia.

This looks epic. So basically is this a custom database you've edited yourself and the game is automatically adding in all the teams to your competition or isit you doing it all?

I simmed 4 seasons to simulate a 4-seaosn-staggered qualifying campaign and took not of who won what, ect.

I'll then use the editor to create the Specific divisional qualifiers, Sim them and take note of who goes where and then
When I know where everyone is, I'll make an editor database with the finalized teams and manage a team in that league.

I'd love to have it all inclusive in one save but I don't think I'd be able to remove teams from them domestic divisions to place tem into a new division in mid save. So I need to simulate the process.

I wanted the clubs to earn where they end up instead of just putting the top 16 in the first division and then placing them in the lower leagues based on reputation. Football never sorts itself by reputation, they play football to find out who deserves to finish top :P

I was just wondering mate whether you would be able to put the edited database up when its finished as I always want to do something similiar to you but can't work the editor very well

I could upload it but the Qualifying section (the part I'm currently writing about) would not be in it. T'would just be the teams sorted into a 4 tier-d league.
