football manager 2015 Editor (steam)

I just downloaded this from tools in steam,

first season on startup I managed to edit some stuff ok, now on my 2nd season I cant seem to edit anything in my 2nd season when I click load database it just goes back to my first season when I first edited things,

my question is how do I edit my current season?

ok I,m at a loss how to use the steam editor , first season no problems, I could edit things, I,m in my second season now, any ideas how to edit so it saves the changes I make, with the new players I have,
the first save only shows my changes from the start of season?

You can edit the database with the steam editor before a game begins. To edit a actual save you need to download and pay for the in-game editor, this will allow you to change things whenever you want during a save.

ahh that explains it then, was pulling my hair out wondering why I couldn't change anything after 1st season, is there any other in game editors out there that work free of charge?

no but they only cost about 3quid.
