New Manager Jack Ramos has just released his first comment on the official Atletico Madrid website. He has stated, " Hello all, I thank you all for your support in my appointment. I would like to match your (the fans) ambitions and feel the club can mount a title challenge in the league and get to at least the quarter finals of the Champions League. As for transfers I would like to prioritise securing the futures of the the team's best players over signing new players. However, there is money to spend and I will look to bring in only players of the highest quality or potential."

Transfer Gossip
New Atletico boss Jack Ramos has confirmed that he is looking for a central midfielder and a central defender. Although no names have been confirmed, players such as Montolivo, D'Agostino, Deco, Giggs, Senderos, Lukovic and Otamendi are being linked to Vicente Calderon.

BREAKING NEWS!!
The Atletico Madrid website has confirmed that Fiorentina have accepted a £15.9 million bid for Riccardo Montolivo. Jack Ramos seems to have moved quickly to bolster his midfield options and sees Montolivo as an ideal playmaker.

Atletico Madrid splash cash on cultured Montolivo

Atletico Madrid Manager Jack Ramos and Chairman Enrique Cezero welcomed their new signing Riccardo Montolivo to the Vicente Calderon today. Montolivo, who cost Madrid £15.9 million, has put pen to paper on a lucrative 4 year contract worth £49,000 per week. He will most likely team up with Raul Garcia in the middle of the park.

Senderos completes loan switch
Jack Ramos has made his second signing of the season. Phillipe Senderos, who had struggled to become an Arsenal regular, has completed a season long loan deal. Atletico Madrid have paid £1.3 million to Arsenal and are paying Phillipe £28,000 per week. Influential Arsenal player William Gallas, vented his anger at Arsene Wenger for letting his fellow defender on loan as he feels that Senderos is too good to be loaned out.

Atletico balance books
Although there was money to spend, I have sold two players to raise funds. Firstly young striker Ibra has completed a £550K move to Mallorca. Secondly, athletic defender Luis Perea has moved to Palermo for £3 million.

Atletico face impossible
I flew to switzerland to hear the draw for the Champions League Best Placed Playoff today. My side has been drawn against premier league giants Arsenal! I couldn't believe how unlucky I was, especially after seeing the draw pit Stuttgart against Anderlecht. Anyway, the first leg is at the Vicente Calderon so hopefully I can get a positive result to take to the Emirates.

Good Story
I've Started a save with At.Madrid ....
i will be following

Use JP's 4-2-3-1 tactic :)

Put Aguero in attacking midfield with Forland as striker, maybe Simao and Maxi Rodriguez could be the wingers? Paulo Assuncao and Co. could be the midfield.Think about signing a holding midfielder and a good centre back, preferrably a fast one.

Good luck anyways,I will defo follow :D

August 2009 Update
Starting Eleven and Tactics
I have created new tactics for my side and also have a starting eleven for the first game of the season.

Atletico Madrid Vs Arsenal (First Leg )
I had a fully fit side for this encounter and felt my side could cause an upset. My staff had highlighted Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persier as the dangermen. Denilson, Eduardo, Vermaelen and Nasri were missing for the Gunners.
Im delighted with the win because we stopped them getting an away goal which I felt may be decisive.
MotM - Simao - had a brilliant game and linked the play well with his pace and vision
Arsenal Vs Atletico Madrid( Second Leg)
I knew this game would be a lot harder as Arsenal would play much better at home. Therefore, I targeted an away goal and then to sit back and defend.
We may have lost on the night, but i'm delighted my side has done enough to qualify for the Champions League Group Stages. We defended briallantly at times and took our chance.
MotM - Sergio Aguero - didn't score today but played well and made the Arsenal defence really earn their wages.
Days after this match I took the short trip over to the Bernabeu to watch the group stage draw. Atletico Madrid have been handed a touch group but I am content we can qualify.

Malaga Vs Atletico Madrid (Liga BBVA)
After my performances against Arsenal I was confident of getting a good result against Malaga. Raul Garcia was unavailble due to injury but Senderos was set to make his first appearance.
Despite going a goal down in the first half, we managed to win today. I am very happy to start the campaign on a positive note. I don't think the team played too well so there is a lot to work on over the next few weeks.
MotM- Sergio Aguero - Another fine performance from Aguero and he scored the winning goal.
Player of the Month - Sergio Aguero
3 games, 2 goals, 2 assists, Av Rat 7.6

September 2009 Update
Atletico Madrid Vs Osasuna
Sergio Asenjo has been ruled out for the month with a back strain. Surely, As Atletico Madrid have no suitable back up this will affect their progress this month.
I was delighted to take the three points today and thought the team played very well.
MotM - Simao - Scored a goal and linked the play well.

Wisla Vs Atletico Madrid ( ECL)
Both teams were at almost full strength going into the match and Pawel Brozek had been highlighted as a dangerman. I was keen to start the group matches well.
Atletico Madrid recorded a solid win away from home. I am delighted to have scored three goals and thought the team showed fine composure.
MotM - Roberto - played fantastically and gave me confidence we could cope with Asenjo.

Atletico Madrid Vs Tenerife (Liga BBVA)
Tenerife were without 5 first team players today, so I fully expected another 3 points. I told my team, would could not afford to drop points in games like these.
I was gutted to see my team drop points here. Especially after turning the mathc on its head, only for Tenerife to draw level again.
MotD - Diego Forlan - showed his experience and led the line superbly.

Getafe Vs Atletico Madrid
I warned my team before this match that this game could be very tricky. Especially with the likes of Soldado and Pedro Leon on show for Getafe. However, I still thought we could win.
This match was a game of two halves:D. Robert Soldado netted a fantastic hat-trick in the first half. But Atletico responded well to score twice in the second half but it wasn't enough. Getafe deservedly won the match 3-2.
MotM - Ignacio Camacho - the youngster took his chance and played the box to box midfielder role with confidence.

Atletico Madrid Vs Deportivo
After a dissapointing match at Getafe, I wanted to reignite my challenge for the title at home to Deportivo.
Although Atletico Madrid may have left it late, they got the 2-0 victory which I am very happy with.

Atletico Madrid Vs Olympique Lyonnais(ECL)
I was quitely confident my team could secure victory against french giants Lyon. Although, my side hadn't been playing well of late and I asked them really up their game for this match.
I was frustrated with this result because my side dominated the game throughout but failed to take their chances. We are looking good for qualification.

Atletico Madrid are doing fairly well in the league and are currently in 6th place.

will be followin this mate, just started another game with atleti :)

i use an more direct, attacking, 4-5-1
----------------------------------Forlan (Target Man, long shots=often)-----------------------
Aguero (inside forward)-----------------------------Simao(or other winger)(set as winger)
---------------------Jurado (advanced pm)------------------Assuncao (cm support)----------
-----------------------------------------Makelele (bought him in, def mid defend)--------------
Lopez--------------------Juanito-----------------------Otamendi-------------------Diego Renan
-----------------------------------------Asenjo-----------------------------------------------------

i have them more expressive (enough creative players) and pressing more, with more cautious (concede too many fouls if not) tackling and drilled crosses. defensive line only just on push up, very wide, and default tempo (makes them play more through balls with the more direct passing, especially through jurado playing into aguer and forlan) with counter attack on (due to quick attacking players) and offside trap off (due to relatively slow defensive players)

i sold maxi coz i needed the money, and cleber santana coz hes rubbish, and also joel and the other not very good first team players.

i conquered la liga in 3 seasons on patch 10.1 and won the treble in the 4th season. started a new game in patch 10.2 and currently in pre season :)

good to see your doing well in the league and loving how your makin the most of aguero :D i struggled to find his best position :\ anyway, good luck mate :)

good results mate are you planning to continue this game tho?
