hey everyone, just wondering, just how are the style of play in Ligue 1 exactly? most of us know that they play kick and rush type of game plan in England, Defensive and tactically strict football in Italy, and they mainly play offensive minded type possesion football in Spain. and also, despite their league's obvious inferiority than the 3 major league, they still seems to be able to produce many technically gifted players. ???

A lot of France's lower clubs are linked to the top 6 or so in Ligue 1, they get the first option on outgoing youth that the club dont want. Also, almost all Ligue 1 clubs have state of the art facilities, which are up there with ManUre, Newcastle, Liverpool etc.

The style in general is patient passing, not unlike the Spanish game, although more physical(Premier League). France seems to have traits of Germany, Spain, Italy England etc.

patient passing? interesting, France also seem to produce a lot of quality dribblers over the years. Zidane, Ribery, Ben Arfa, Nasri, Gourcuff....

Zidane, Ribery, Ben Arfa, Nasri - All played for Marseille at some point... XD
