i dunno whether to train him to be a defensive mid or attacking mid after reading about playmakers playing attacking mid or defensive mid gives them more space any ideas?

it would be a waste to have in defensive mid, he does not have to be a playmaker to be attacking

why would you even consider training to be a defensive mid? lol

i didnt think he would be any good as defensive mid anyway if anythin more attacking mid lol

Yeah the thing about Fabregas (I'm speaking real life here) is his tackling isn't that good, whenever he goes in for a challenge there is always a good chance he ends up fouling the player - which is why he gets a lot of yellow cards.

Defensive Mid would waste his great talent :)

It depends a lot on how your team is set up to play. There isn't a 'right' answer or a 'wrong' answer.

In a 4-2-3-1 formation where you already have an amazing AMC/MC behind the striker, getting Cesc to play a defensive playmaking role (Alonso) or even a more box-to-box role in the classic Brazillian style (Falcao) might make sense.
