Freezing

My Xbox has got AIDs and keeps freezing at the start screen, anyone got any fixes?

Yeah full story is, it started freezing then when I got back on later I got the red ring so I hit my Xbox with a hammer a few times and the red ring went and it started working but now it just freezes at the start screen all the time. Tips?

Give that a try as there could actually be more than one thing causing it.
