Friend can see everything I do. Network Game?!?!?!?

Hi peeps, got a problem that hopefully someone can help out with.

Im playing an online game with a friend, in the championship. He is Blackburn and I am Blackpool.

The problem is that he can see anything I do, such as transfer bids which is so annoying and unrealistic. The most annoying thing about it is that because his club has a bigger reputation, he can easily hi-jack my transfers. He's been doing this for a few players!

So is there a way that I can do private negotiations or so that he can't see my bids and players i'm scouting?

When you make a bid, can't you make it private as eposed to public? Might be getting mixed up and that's just for loan deals though :/

If not, if the player is on his shortlist he will get any news on bids made for him.
 
Tried to find private function but there doesnt seem to be one on fm13? I believe there was on fm12 though.

It's annoying because he can see everything on his message feed; even when I scout a player, then he can buy them ahead of me cos' of the reputation of his club.

Anyone else know about how to change this or experienced the same problem?
