What do you do regarding club friendlies (You can select more than one if it varies)?

Just wondering, when you're a club, what do you do regarding these? Do you holiday them, let your assistant take them, play them yourself or just cancel all of them?

I normally cancel all the current ones and create some new ones which I play myself.

Thanks,

Let the assistant do it, I concentrate on recruitment or my international duties.

Cancel all of them, then set out friendlies that actually has some length between each game. Mostly it's to try out a new signing or playing a new tactic.

Set out friendlies with a week between them, then play them if Im working on a tactic or testing a new player, otherwise just let the assistant.

I just holiday them until the first game of the season.

I cancel all of them and then set new ones up with a gap of three days in between. My last friendly I play exactly a week before my first competitive game though. It's amazing how much it can do for the teams fitness and learning a new tactic. I then let the assistant do them, unless I'm experimenting with tactics.

I play them, it's a great way to get your players adapted to the tactic somewhat before the season starts. It's also a good way to make sure key players are fit and ready for the season, as if you do holiday them your assistant doesn't always play the first team, he'll play the reserves/youth some of the time.

I also tend to cancel all the friendly's that're currently there, and pick my own, I normally like to have six, four of them against team that're on the same level as I am, or a little better, then the last two I do against some unknown team so I batter them and the team morale improves a little.

If you're a small team it's also a very good thing to arrange some against big team, to bring in more money.

Normally play them though recently i've started getting assistant to do them

Always let my assistant deal with them but i do keep a close eye on the result and players performances etc.

I arrange em for all 3 squads & have assistant handle em for teh first team & manage teh youth squad in their friendly matches..

Interesting techniques, although for me it depends on how I'm feeling, although I normally cancel them all and make my own and play them myself. Thread closed.
