van Aalst Takes over Chelsea
View attachment 43425
After Carlo Ancelotti's shock resignation only a month after joining Chelsea were looking for a new manager, unfortunately no one in England wanted the job. So they looked to Australia and found local league manager Nick van Aalst. van Aalst has been quoted saying "This is the happiest day of my life, to go from local league managing in Canberra, to Managing one of the biggest teams, in the biggest leagues in the world is... an amazing feeling.

I will release my transfer targets, my aims for the season and my starting squad in a few hours time for all soccer fans to look at, this will give them an idea of this years champions."

Chelsea fans are angry at such a young, cocky, inexperienced manager, and expect him to fail.

Notes: I'm already one season through this game, so updates for the first season will be regular, 2 months a day, and from there we will see. I do live in Australia so updates might come in at 4:00am in the morning for all you European people, sorry for any inconvenience.

Transfer Targets:

I was given 62 million to spend if i can remember correctly (don't know what it was as I'm at second season) and no memory of weekly wages.

Yoann Gourcuff
Sergio Asenjo
Jerome Boateng
Luis Suarez

Tactics:

I will be looking to play a basic 4-2-3-1.

Aims for the Season:
Premier League: Top 2
Champions League: Semi Finals
FA Cup: Semi Finals
League Cup: Low on priority list, couldn't care less
Community Shield: All I'm looking for is a good strong performance, to send a message.

Final Transfers:

IN:
Yoann Gourcuff: 27.5mil from Bordeaux
Luis Suarez: 20mil from Ajax
David Ospina (instead of Asenjo): 15.25mil from OGC Nice
Diego Renan (instead of Boateng): 15mil from Cruzeiro

OUT:
Salomon Kalou to Real Madrid: 5.5mil
Daniel Sturridge to Newcastle: Loan

Final Tactics

Should be very easy, but there are a few suprises.

Pre-Season:

3-0 vs AA Gent (Gourcuff, Ballack, Anelka)
1-0 vs Falkirk (Lampard)
2-0 vs Ipswich (Sturridge, Tore)
4-0 vs Dundee (Ballack 2, Drogba, Lampard)

Community Shield:

A Frank Lampard first half injury time strike sealed the win, very strong performance from the team, definite signal of intentions for the season!

Interview with Nick van Aalst:

A good win today against your biggest premier league rivals Manchester United, how do you think your team performed?

NVA: Very strong performance, very strong, i have already said we would be champions, and we already are, this is a sign of things to come, now if you excuse me, I have to go and make dinner

August:

vs Sunderland - 2-0 - Michael Ballack, Daniel Sturridge

vs Wolves - 2-0 - Yoann Gourcuff, Michael Essien

vs Hull - 6-1 - Luis Suarez (2), John Terry, Didier Drogba (2), Malouda

Thoughts: Very Strong start to the season, great game against Hull, dominated everything, BUT got caught on the break once which was dissapointing.

Player of the Month: Luis Suarez - Comes in, 3rd game, 2 goals in the first 20 minutes, would have been 3 if he didn't pick up an injury.

---

September:

vs Fulham - 2-0 - Yoann Gourcuff (2)

vs Everton - 1-1 - Alex

vs AZ - Champions League - 1-0 - Nicolas Anelka

Then 3 Big Teams in 7 Days:

1st Game: vs Manchester United - Away - 2-1 - Michael Ballack, Luis Suarez

View attachment 43435

2nd Game: vs Liverpool - League Cup - Away - 2-1 - Reina OG, Luis Suarez

View attachment 43436

3rd Game: vs Arsenal - 1-2 - Away - Michael Ballack

View attachment 43437

vs Standard - Champions League - 0-1

Thoughts: VERY busy month, got 3 wins out of 6, 1 draw, and 2 losses, the loss to Arsenal was understandable after games against Manchester United and Liverpool in the 6 days previous, but the loss to Standard was unacceptable, very disappointed.

Player of the Month: Michael Ballack, two goals and a very strong showing in each mach, didn't have to think about this choice

good start mate im following as its a chelsea story :D

October

vs Aston Villa - 2-1 - Didier Drogba, Yuri Zhirkov

vs Blackburn - 3-0 - Daniel Sturridge, Michael Ballack, John Obi Mikel

vs Burnley - 2-1 - Didier Drogba (2)

vs Man City - League Cup - 2-2 - 4-5 penalties - Daniel Sturridge, Ricardo Carvalho

vs Portsmouth - 3-2 - Didier Drogba (3)

Thoughts: Undefeated in normal time in all matches, disappointing to lose on penalties to Man City, but only League Cup so I'm not fussed.

Player of the Month: Didier Drogba - 6 goals in 6 games, he got us wins over Portsmouth and Burnley, at his peak definitley!

---

November

vs Fiorentina - Champions League - 0-1

vs Wigan - 1-0 - John Obi Mikel

vs West Ham - 2-1 - Joe Cole, Michael Essien

vs AZ - Champions League - 2-2 - Frank Lampard, Yoann Gourcuff

vs Stoke - 3-1 - Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien

Thoughts: Relaxing month, only 5 games, however disappointed losing against Fiorentina and drawing with AZ, although away.

Player of the Month: No outstanding performances, team performances really, good to see.

Player of the Month: Again a real team performance, BUT it goes to Frank Lampard, 3 goals from the midfield and some very handy assists

Player of the Month: Yoann Gourcuff, 3 goals in 6 goals for the midfielder, playing well every time he was called to.

Hasan Salihamadizic from Juventus - Loan Fee 145k

---

February

vs Blackburn - 1-0 - Luis Suarez

vs Arsenal - 1-0 - Luis Suarez

vs Lyon - Champions League 1st Knockout Round - 3-2 - Yoann Gourcuff, Michael Essien, Nicolas Anelka

vs Aston Villa - 2-3 - Yoann Gourcuff, Nicolas Anelka

vs Burnley - 4-1 - Frank Lampard (2), Michael Essien, Michael Ballack

Thoughts: Very strong month, loss to Aston Villa just unlucky. But strong over Burnley and Arsenal, lucky escape in Champions League, we were dominated

Player of the Month: Michael Essien, providing in assists and goals, just beautiful play from the midfielder

---------- Post added at 03:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:51 PM ----------

March:

vs Lyon - Champions League First Knockout Round - 0-2

vs Portsmouth - 2-2 - Luis Suarez, Frank Lampard

vs Wigan - 3-2 - Frank Lampard (2), Jose Bosingwa

vs West Ham - 0-1

Thoughts: Out of Champions League :@:'(, and one draw, one loss and one win in the Premier League, this could change the season.

Player of the Month: No one played really well except Frank Lampard, he pulled our team through two games which could have been losses.

---

April:

vs Stoke - 4-1 - Frank Lampard, Michael Essien (2), Joe Cole

vs Liverpool - 1-1 - Didier Drogba

And with that draw we are the CHAMPIONS, we are so far ahead of everyone else, even with four games left, we have won the Premier League.

Then we came crashing back down to Earth with easily the worst performance i have ever seen on FM10!

vs Man City - 0-5
But still got a 50% confidence rating???

vs Bolton 3-1 - Didier Drogba (3)

Thoughts: WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! But an absolutely horrific performance at the City of Manchester Stadium, i showed the team my anger after that much, but no one cared!

Player of the Month: Didier Drogba, his goal won us the Premier League and his hatrick at Bolton was sublime.

---
May:

vs Tottenham - 2-1 - Yoann Gourcuff, Didier Drogba

vs Birmingham - 2-0 - Yuri Zhirkov, Jose Bosingwa

Thoughts: Easy end to the season, comfortable wins, but the results don't show that, we dominated each game totally!

Player of the Month: No one outstanding, team performance.

Good game, conceded early, but never looked like we were going to concede again, we had numerous chances, we were just a bit unlucky, and a bit sloppy with our shooting, we could have scored 3 or 4 but that's football for you.
