Have been a reader on here for a while now so thought I'd make an account and post a story of my own. I have loaded leagues down to Tier 9 and I will be taking over Littlehampton Town in the Sussex County League Div 1!

I'll be posting updates every few months or so, enjoy :)

Good luck mate! I live just down the road in Worthing so I will keep an eye on this

I'm down the south coast as well! what is the chances of that! originally from Brighton so know Littlehampton well!

Littlehampton - Sussex County League Division 1 - 2014/15 - Aug-Dec

In my first season at the club, my aim was to try and push for promotion for the 1 promotion place in the league. Although, my media prediction was 11th and I felt this was a more realistic ambition. But still...

So here's how it's going so far:

View attachment 320383 League Table - Very happy with my performance in the league so far, and overall glad that my tactics are paying off! Just a shame Selsey have had the better of us so far

View attachment 320382FA Vase - Knocked out instantly, although it gives me a chance to fully focus on the league.

View attachment 320381 Transfers - Copious amounts of free loans, at this level I'm finding it more effective to just sign players on free loans rather than scout them just to get a decent read on there ability. Overall Im happy because I ended up with 11 players that can at least play football (ish).

Squad + Tactics - More of a borrowed squad, Landais who started at the club is definitely the star. Super High Pressure, Wide target men, clear the ball to them, and get it to Landais on the counter. Pretty much.

Key Player Profiles:

View attachment 320378George Landais - top scorer with 17 from 20, helps that he gets himself into the right place

View attachment 320377Ryan Rawlins - Looks to be the most technically gifted when on the pitch

View attachment 320376Harley Wise - On loan from QPR-u18s, probably the best player on paper

Better kick on ! :)

Great work so far with Littlehampton mate! keep up the great work

Promotion is only 5 games away!! So happy with my first season in charge. Went from being 7pts behind in November to being 6 points in front ^^)

Considering making my tactic available for download. Currently on an 18 game unbeaten run with Littlehampton XD

Check it out.
(Will reveal player instructions if and when I make it available for download)

Littlehampton - Sussex County League Division 1 - 2014/15 - End of Season Review

Many things to be happy about :)

So I won in the end, with my team of mostly free loan signings really gelling over the second half of the season , putting together 20 games unbeaten in the league.

and

My Board have announced a wage budget of 1.7k for next season (which is more than enough in my eyes).

ROLL ON NEXT SEASON - Isthmian Division 1 South here we come!

A great season there mate! would be interesting to see if you could get Littlehampton into the Football League

Thanks mate!

Yeah, hopefully I can. Looks like it's gonna be another long summer of free-loans but at least I can bring some key players in with that budget!

Also I'm much preferring the idea of 1 promotion spot and 4 play-off places for next season, rather than the one in this league, gives me more of a chance :)

Littlehampton - Isthmian Div 1 South - Season Preview

After completing my first season I knew I would find it difficult to build another team from the ground up, and was hoping that I could bring back some of the same faces that were so good for me last season. Most importantly though, I needed bodies with nearly everyone leaving to return to their parent club.

So here why key signings over the Summer period:

Brought another 25+ players in on loan to bolster the squad, bringing back some old faces and some quality players on free signings.

Lewis Putman - Free -
Felt like I needed to bring someone exceptional in upfront because I didn't feel Landais was ready for the step up. On £350 p/w he is my highest earner, but I feel I'll be getting value for money here. With 13 Finishing, 14 composure and a wealth of experience at this level, I'm of the opinion that this was far from being a gamble.

Bagasan Graham - Free -
It was important for me to find good wingers as they play a pivotal role in my formation. I stumbled upon Bagasan by chance and I was surprised to find that he was interested in signing for such a Little club. With a playing history that for exceed this level of football and pace to boot, I felt £190 p/w, this was a no brainer.

Marcus Rose - Free - Another player who has a wealth of experience at this level, signed from Eastbourne Boro and have the feeling his mental attributes will see him through in the big games.

Kyle Knoyle + Harley Wise - Free - 2 of my best defenders last year and was glad I could secure their services permanently after being released from West Ham and QPR respectively

Honourable Mentions - Matther Worthington- Loan - Bournemouth
Will Randall - Loan - Swindon
Amos Nasha - 2nd loan spell - West Ham
Alex Atkinson - Loan - Luton
Miguel Pascal Johnson - Amateur - Waltham Forest

After bringing in my core signing I began to fill in the gaps. I also tried to ask my board for a second time for a Parent Club but again never got back to me (bug or..?).

Tactically I only changed a couple of things, opting for an extra man in midfield to help join the attack as opposed to a third centre - back.

After being pleased with how my squad was shaping up I was happy to set 'Play - Offs' as a minimum expectation, feeling that my team are more than capable of finishing 5th.

I also brought my first member of staff in! Was delighted to find a scout this good at this level.

Anyway, after my first 7 games (I've had 8 injuries -___-) this is how it's looking -

Not sure what to take from that yet, just got to wait a few more games before they start to gel and get used to the tactic!

Will be posting another update half-way through the season!
:D
