Unfortunately, the data for the save of my other story has been lost so I will be starting again along a different path but I will still be trying to become the most reputable manager in world football but this time I don't have as many countries involved in the game. Let the quest begin at my lifelong club West Bromwich Albion.

Transfers In: (some players have moved on since I am now in 2015)

The most important job for the transfer window was to bring in a decent Left Back. I also felt that experienced back-up was required in centre midfield. I then wanted to bring in some youth to attacking midfield.

Dave Bulthuis from Utrecht for 975k. He should become an important part of the first team.

Nestor Ortigoza signed from San Lorenzo for ?1.2 million. Should warm the bench well.

Hot Prospect Ryan Gauld signed from Dundee Utd for ?2.4 million. Big coup for the club

Transfers Out:

Gabriel Tamas to Sunderland ?1.1 million
Markus Rosenberg to Hull ?1.4 million
Saido Berahino to Brighton on loan
Graham Dorrans to Norwich ?2.5 million
Adil Nabi to Leeds on loan
Donervon Daniels to MK Dons on loan

Season 2 - The Championship

After a poor season last year it is extremely important that I gain promotion this season and put any cup run on the back burner for now.

Key Transfers Out:

Multiple players have left this season as four or five people loan signings returned to their parent clubs. Multiple other players have left as they felt playing in the championship beneath and have moved on to a bigger club.

Liam Ridgewell to Cardiff - 900k
Stephane Sessegnon to Saint Etienne - ?2.8 million
Shane Long to Saint Etienne - ?3.8 million
Chris Brunt to Hertha BSC - ?2.5 million
Youssouf Mulumbu to Schalke - ?9.5 million
Nestor Ortigoza to Vitesse - ?1.8 million
Victor Anichebe to Notts. Forest - ?3 million
Zoltan Gera to Bristol City - Loan

Key Transfers In:

Aaron Taylor-Sinclair from Partick Thistle for 800k - He will come into rival Dave Bulthuis

Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United on loan - He will offer good options all over the midfield.

View attachment 412509

John McGinn from St Mirren for 230k - Wont be playing this season but shows some good potential.

View attachment 412508

Nick Powell from Manchester United on loan - Brought in to replace Mulumbu for the season

View attachment 412507

Cedrick from Real Betis for ?6 million - I felt his pace would do huge amounts in this league.

View attachment 412506

Jacob Mellis from Barnsley for 975k - He will come in as a future star that will go straight out on loan.

Adam Smith from Tottenham on a free - Much needed replacement for the ageing Steven Reid

View attachment 412504

Alejandro Faurlin from QPR on a free - Brought in to bolster the middle of the park.

View attachment 412503

Benjamin Siegrist from Manchester City on a free - Quality Prospect as back-up for Ben Foster

View attachment 412502

Gael Kakuta from Chelsea for 115k - Brought in to challenge Adnan Januzaj in attacking midfield.

Yearly Verdict:

I need to build on this next season. It is very important that we don't turn into a yo-yo club. I will need to replace loan signings ad bring in a couple of squad players to boost us into a premier league team. I also had a very good run in both cup competitions by reaching the capital one cup semi final and FA cup quarter final. However, I cannot see us winning the league anytime soon so it might be time for me to seek out other employment when it becomes available. On a positive side the championship title gives me my first trophy and will go towards my score in the hall of fame.

Season 3 - A New Beginning

After Last Season it is important to build for the future and completely work towards battling relegation. Whilst looking for a move to a club that will challenge for trophies.

Transfers Out:

The only players leaving will be deadwood who can no longer take the squad forward and must be moved on to free up the wage budget a bit more.

Scott Allan to Huddersfield for 300k
Boaz Myhill - released
Zoltan Gera - released
Diego Lugano to Guangzhou on a free
Darren Petrie to QPR on loan
Adil Nabi to MK Dons on loan

Key Transfers In:

Rudy Foulon from Stade Lavallois for 675k - At only 17 he is a prospect for the distant future.

View attachment 412495

Jamie Paterson from Nottingham Forest for 16.75k - Couldn't pass this up for such a bargain price.

View attachment 412493

Aaron Lennon from Tottenham for ?6 million - Bringing him in will create pace on the opposite flank to Cedrick making the team more diverse.

View attachment 412490

Eric Dier from Sporting CP for ?1.8 million - With Lugano departing, and Olsson and Mcauley ageing more youth was required in defence

View attachment 412491

James Forrest from Celtic for 240k - More quick cover for Aaron Lennon on the right wing.

View attachment 412492

John Guidetti from Manchester City on a free - Some quality up top to rotate with other strikers.

Finally the oppurtunity I've been looking for:

I will be taking over the Inter Milan job with them sitting in 12th in Serie A

Keep following to see how the new career path turns out.

Once my story catches up with my save, I'll start updating month by month

Season 3 Part 2 - A Fallen Giant

So I've got my big break with Italian Giants Inter Milan. Unfortunately leaving West Brom midway through the season but this was an offer too good to turn down. At the time of employment Inter are sitting 12th in Serie A but I have plenty of time this season to turn it around. However I am going to make it a four year project with the aim at the end of it being that I want to:
  • Topple Juventus from their league dominance
  • Try to win all domestic trophies available
  • Reach the latter stages of the champions league.
But this season it was important just to reach European football and begin building for the future.

From October to January:

After a shaky start in the opener against Parma and a few games after that, The players soon took to my tactics and improvements were made for the next couple of months as we went onto an unbeaten run.

Transfers In:

I noticed that the club had already made more than 15 signings in the summer transfer window so I didnt want to disrupt the squad too much so I only brought in two players in January.

Jonathan Silva - DL

View attachment 405437

I signed Silva for 7 million from Estudiantes which I think is an absolute bargain considering how good he is. He came in to rival Yuto Nagatomo the clubs only notable left back.

Malam Dabo - DR

View attachment 405438

This young right back was signed from Benfica for 6.5 million which again is another bargain considering his quality. However, I didn't feel he was quite ready for the first team so the deal included a loan back clause which lasted til the end of the season.

Transfers Out:

Juan Pablo Carrizo to Corinthians - 800k
Malam Dabo to Benfica - Loan
Fabio Butti to Southampton - Loan
Nicolo Sardo to Havre Athletic - Loan

I am very keen to try and build a squad of youngsters that will become the best team ever assembled so young prospects are very high on my list of players to sign.

Fixtures:

The results were poor for the rest of the season but I managed to secure European football by reaching the Italian cup final before losing to Juventus who had already won the league.

League Table:

View attachment 405418
This is a disappointing place to finish but am expecting major improvements for my first season in charge. I'm not expecting to finish out of the champions league qualification places again.

Team of the Year:

View attachment 405419

Yearly Summary:

Although, I achieved my goal of qualifying for the champions league, I am still disappointed with the performance in the league. Also it is unfortunate that we were unable to obtain any silverware this season; as I am still looking for my first major trophy having only previously won the Championship in England. Next season it is important that I improve on this season majorly. I will be planning to finish sin the top three of the league; pushing Juventus for the title. I also want to match and even better my performance in the domestic competition. Europe will take a back seat now as I look to become dominant on the domestic stage before conquering Europe.
