This'll be a bit of a journeyman save on FM Classic where I'll try to win as much as I can in any league I can, despite having a Sunday-league reputation and some smaller leagues loaded. It would be nice to win, say the Champions League with a team from the Belgian Third Division, but that would take too long to do for this to be a proper journeyman save.

I have loaded all the leagues available at the start of the game from the following nations
Belgium
Croatia

Ireland

Norway

Ukraine

I'm starting in Ireland in January 2015 so hopefully quite a few jobs will be open so I can start fairly quickly

Which country will I be taking by storm first?

There were only three jobs on the market at the point I started the game Bray Wanderers of the Irish Premier Divison and Harstad and Rødde of the Norwegian Second Divison, needless to say I applied for all three posts.

Unfortunately, both Norwegian sides rejected my impressive C.V, overlooking my time spent as a cashier at Aldi and the Under 18s Powerleague Division 2 title win, although the fact I couldn't speak Norwegian may have counted against me.

Despite these setbacks, I remained positive in my hunt for a job, this was boosted after Bray's consideration of my application.

In the meantime, three more jobs became available, which I applied for as soon as I was notified, two were in the Belgian Third Division A, at Bornem and Coxyde, while the other was at Desna in the Ukrainian First League.

After a week of waiting, the jobs at Bornem, Bray and Desna went, which meant my only hope was the job at Coxyde, the team in 16th in the Belgian Third Divison, I guess we all have to start somewhere.

After a mere month of looking for a job, I am now manager of semi-professional Belgian Third Division side VV Coxyde.

Next Update-Coxyde

I've always liked the 3-5-1-1...

KVV COXYDE

KVV Coxyde are a semi-professional Belgian football club who were founded in 1934. They play in the 2,500 seater Henri Hautsaegerstadion in Koksijde. The team play there home games in light blue and are currently in the Third Division A in Belgium. The club have average training facilities and below average youth facilities.

The Situation

Despite being tipped for the play-offs in pre-season, Coxyde find themselves in 16th place, 4 points above relegation with only 8 games to go.

The remaining games

Hopefully we can do well in the remaining games and propel ourselves up the league table.

The Tactic
This is the masterplan which will keep Coxyde in the league and propel us to future glories (or until a better job comes available)

As you can see, I have gone for the traditional Belgian formation of the 3-5-1-1.

GOALKEEPER
Jonas Cool-A decent keeper for this level, hopefully he'll keep his cool

DEFENCE

Dwayne Dildick-The man with the most unfortunate surname I've ever seen ill occupy the right hand side of our defence as he has a little bit of pace
Renan Boufleur-Arguably our best centre-back, Renan will be the commander at the back
Maxim Bailleul-Probably the worst of a bad bunch, still okay though

MIDFIELD

Marc-Antoine Gbarssin-A decent defensive mid, filling in until a replacement is found
Aaron "Bob" Vandendriessche-Bob is a good player, best winger at the club, easy to pick
Giovanni Franco Simoes-*****, but ok until we find a relacement
Marko Petrovic-He looks decent enough, hopefully outweigh Simoes' shiteness
Darius Hillewaere-Another good winger, this time on the left, hope he does well for us
Nico Vandendriessche-Bob's brother Bill plays just behind the striker and will hopefully pick up a few goals

ATTACK

Karel Ternier-Best striker, better score

NEXT UPDATE-End of season and youth intake

END OF SEASON

I didn't have many games to prove myself towards the end of the season, only about 8 or 9, but we were still in relegation danger and definitely in the frame for the relegation play-off, let's see how it went...

15th! I did well I think and managed to improve the side slightly, I also improved the league position slightly, moving from 16thto 15th and away from the relegation play-off. Despite this, the press refer to me as the "Under-Fire Coxyde manager".

THE RESULTS
View attachment 290841

A bit more red than I would have liked, but the 4 wins at the end of the season offer fresh hoper for next season, the 7-4 win over Bornem being my favourite.

ULTIMATUM

View attachment 290839

I put in a cheeky application for the vacant Mons job (Division above us, seem decent), I've now been given an ultimatum, I pose this question.
