Frozen game, any solutions?

Got as far as Dec in my 1st season. Picking corner takers when game just seized up. Don't really want to remove and buy again as ... well.

Any ideas?

Reading through other posts it seems if I remove and buy again I wont be charged. Can anyone confirm this please?
