Got FM16 for Xmas and about to start my first save as Fulham. Have 4m to spend, any recommended signings who'll come to the Championship but will also be good enough for the Premiership?

I have just started with Fulham. Managed to sign Del Piero. I play a 4-3-2-1 and have him behind my strikers. Pre-season he has been very impressive and everything seems to run through him. Great at set-pieces too! He got injured just before my season started so haven't had the opportunity to play him in competitive matches.

I'd consider looking at some youngsters who would be good for championship level now and improve to great premier league players, such as Ajer(about 1m), Saponjic(Partizan - about 600k), San Emeterio(Racing - about 1m) also maybe his brother, simply known as Fede(1m).

Mikkel Duelund, signed him for Wolves, on loan with option to buy @ £700k. Got young player of the year in Championship scores and assist for fun. He is now being a machine in the PL. Bargain.

I've found that bringing in players that already play in England and/or speak the language is good for team morale etc as they don't have to spend time settling in and such.

Peter Pawlett was my best signing of last season playing as Brighton, averaged 7.49 at RM and chipped in with a load of goals and assists, winning Player of the Season and Signing of the Season in the process. Signed for around £800k from Aberdeen. Could also be worth looking at his teammate at Aberdeen, Cammy Smith, who has great potential and comes cheap.

I've found CM to be an awkward position to fill in the Championship but Oliver Norwood was superb for me last season. Signed from Reading for around £2 million, he takes a decent set piece, chips in with a few goals and is pretty versatile with roles.

Rico Henry is also looking to be a good investment as well. Signs for a few hundred k from Walsall, 5 star potential and improving constantly. Should be adequate for backup at LB in the Championship after a season out on loan.

look him
