Motormen take on Mair
View attachment 283726

Blue Square Bet North side Vauxhall Motors have signed 25-year old Steven Mair as their new manager.

Scotsman Mair's only previous footballing experience was Sunday League football, but given the relative stature of the club this is hardly a surprise.

Faced by a Non-League Paper journalist, Mair's ambitions were lofty indeed saying "Every club has the potential to succeed, and just because this one is named after a car manufacturing firm, it is no different. I hope to bring success to the tens of loyal fans at Rivacre Park."

temporary transfers

Vauxhall Motors gaffer Steven Mair has taken in no less than 5 new loan signings just days after his appointment. Clearly not happy at the 3-1 intra-squad defeat to the Motors' Reserves, Mair has taken on Mitch Rose and Alec Denton from Rotherham on three month contracts, Elliot Turner from Shrewsbury on a six-month contract, and Tom Whitehurst and Iain Howard, of Stockport and Chester respectively, join on season-long deals. All the payer's wages will be paid for by their parent clubs.

Stephen Powell, formerly of Huddersfield, has joined too, on a free transfer. The right-back is on a one-year deal, earning £50 per week.
