I've currently taken Boavista from the regional division to Champions League qualifying (got knocked out in the last round by Tottenham), yet I'm still not even favoured personel (or whatever the lowest club status thing is). This is very, very annoying. The board love me, even so much they upgraded some facilities because I said it was the least they could do for me. I'm at the end of the 2015/2016 season.

Essentially, I don't get it. I've got two players into favoured personel (one of which I've had for less than a year!), but I'm not, and it's ******* annoying. Any tips?

have you ever won manager of the year award?

I ask because in my only season with Leixoes (portuguese 2nd division) we won the league undefeated yet I didn't win manager of the year award and didn't become favoured personel...

Ah, not won that. I've won the Taca de Portugal and the Bwin Cup though. Leixoes are actually second in my game! They're beating me to the Champions League spot! Check my blog if you fancy!

yeah my plan was to take Leixoes to CL, seems like they can do it even without me after all! I stopped playing after one season, portugal is nice but I need leagues with more limitations (eg transfers, non-EU players, registration) otherwise I end signing every half decent south american trialist...

used to check stories before they closed that section, now it's hard to keep an eye on all the blogs but I'll check yours!

I've got 1% preference for Portuguese players;p I'm trying to do it with home grown players, and I've got three players that have come through my youth setup in my starting 11!
 
If its any consolation, took me 7 years with my club to reach icon status, mainly because took them from northern premier up to the lofty heights of the premiership, along with trophy wins (JPT, FA Cup and Community Shield and now in Europa League). So I'm guessing can't be far off, due to winning manager of the year 2 in a row. Also developed some really good regens from youth academy too-youth development is outstand at the moment, and not having to spend a fortune in buying players is paying dividends. Just got to be a bit more patient I'm afraid

Cheers, there's no rush anyway - nowhere near packing out my stadium yet! I can't wait for the Sexington Stadium!
 
You have to win a load of stuff to get in this or do very well in the league so on
 
I'm in the same boat, i've taken Accrington Stanley from League 2 to 5th in the Premiership, by 2022. Still not even favoured personnel. What have I won? Diddly squat. Always got promoted from finishing 2nd, pretty sure thats why. Its unrealistic as ****, but what can you do?

I feel your pain!
 
i am favored personnel for eastleigh (Blue square south) after getting promotions all the way to the championship so far and winning the fa trophy and johnstones paint trophy along the way, i have also being manager of the season in 3 separate divisions
