Game broken?

Used to play FM 2011 and after a long break I thought i'd pick up FM14 but i'm having some serious problems with the game...

1. No matter what tactic I use, my central defenders just stand there like morons while the opposition strikers literally walk past them, never making any effort to tackle them? Then when they do move -They move so slooow compared to the striker and when they finally catch up with them they do nothing !

2. Corners? Why do the opposition always seem to score them?

3. Why do my players pass to the opposition? or even worse, pass to each other but then stand around like morons again!

Are these known issues?

1. Do your central defenders have pace? Are they intelligent? Things that you might want to look at if they are playing rubbish.

2. Because you can't defend against them? Give your team defending set piece training.

3. Lack of intelligence, poor passing etc etc.

People are literally saying the game is broken everytime their team plays like ****. Look a bit closer to home, other people are having plenty of success in this game, so if your team is underperforming, look at your tactics, your players and yourself.

1. My defenders all have pace (much more so than the attackers)

2. Defending against corners? You serious? 99% I clear to then fall to the opposition who then score! Or the midge on their team will out jump my tallest defenders!

3. People are saying it is broke because it is... simples
