Game crash on preference change

The game crashes whenever I change my language from English US to English UK. I also prefer to keep my currency as per the local area. Since Im managing in Germany, I would like to keep euro as my currency. But the game crashes 5 minutes after changing the preferences. Help please.

The only things I can think of are:
1) Checking the game cache via steam
2) Starting a fresh save (I had a similar issue when ever I checked a player profile)
3) Unloading any addons like skins/face packs etc.
