Game running slow

I recently joined QPR in my game and I've noticed that FM 2012 has been running slower than normal. It was completely fine and ran very smoothly during the time I was at Porto. It's taking longer to load the game, save, process and load different profiles. Does anyone know a way around this?

Have you added more leagues?? that could make it run slower

I do have the Liga BBVA and Serie A as additional leagues which I completely forgot to remove when I received the job offer from QPR. However, I've had this many leagues since I started the game with Porto. In fact, I've had even more leagues, and it ran very smoothly and quickly during that time. I've removed the two leagues I don't need, but they won't be removed until next season...

Go to your shortlist to delete them. I was at the point of getting nearly 200 inbox messages every day from playerz on my shortlist and it slowed my game. Also game will naturally slow down after a few years in.
