Game speed help

Since i have had fm 12, when i create a new game with a few leagues its says 5 star game speed, then after half an hour it goes really slow. i have had my acer aspire for about 3 years , i has 3gb RAM, is this not enough? ive done all the things such remove subscriptions minimize detail level etc. does steam slow it down?, because i played fm11 without steam and it was fine. does anyone know why it starts fast and goes really slow and have any suggestions in how i can fix this problem? thanks

Shutting down anti-virus and other background applications (I even shut down explorer) helps aswell. Won't be steam as far as i'm aware

yeah ive done all that, dont understand it, i thought 3gb ram was enough

Odd. got 3gb too and only goes slow with the massive database. Maybe it's overheating?

nah lol run it from AC without battery, really annoying me

Try clearing out files you don't need from the lappy, then do a defrag via steam. Also maybe worth adjusting the power settings to increase performance
