Hi guys, need some help. FM09 is too slow on my pc. Heres my pc specs :

AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 4000+
2GB RAM
NVidia GeForce 8600GT
160GB Hard Disk Drive, currently 20GB free

The loading is too slow. And three places which is too slow for me.
1. When i want to change subs during a match. Takes nearly 10 seconds with loading popup msg.
2. After games finish, window that stated key man and man of the match evaluation. Takes nearly 10 seconds after continue before i can see all the results in my league.
3. League fixtures which i didnt involved in. Loading too slow for the results teams played.

Ive tried small database and only one league selected, but still the same...
Need advise guys. Coz i think my pc specs is powerful enough. Even i can play crysis with my pc with no problem. But this game i cant.......

Thanks for ur help guys...

2 things.... change the detail level so you'll get less matches that don't concern you... also are you running vista?

Currently using windows xp sp2.
Havent tried the details level. But i think my pc can manage this game better....

yes it should but one thing you said was that your hard drive had only 20 gb free.... this is worrying cause xp needs at least 15% of free disk space to run smoothly and obviously the more the better...

also go to see how big your page file is? might be very small or too big.... :-D

have 2 partition, c is 100gb and d is 60gb.
windows and FM09 is in c, currently free 20gb.
and page file? whats that? help plz?

ok go to start>control panel>performance and maintenance>system>advanced>performance settings> then the advanced tab again

should be at the bottom of this window... mines 4096mb

really don't know dude,

.net 3.5 is supposed to help with playing the game, dont know much about that either so you'll have to search here to find out and after that not sure... i'm out! :P

this might sound fairly simple but do you run other programs when playing the game.... does anything stay open in your task bar?

I have pretty much the same spec apart from i have 4 gig of ram and approx 1.6tb hard drive and sometimes mine does seem to take ages to do anything but i put it down to running a large database

thanx for all the help. its faster now...

i change the detail level to none for all competiton and unpick the 3d match engine in preferences.... think that the 3d engine makes the game slower.

now it run faster and im enjoying life more....

similar problem for me....the game processess really quick, but the 3d match is a shambles...glitchy and slow, even though i can play a huge game on c&c generals no probs, or play counter strike source smooth as you like, but the match is really slow, any help or ideas?

But CS:S is seven years old and Generals is fairly old too. ;)
