I am about to finish my second season as liverpool manager and carragher is getting on a bit. I was just wondering if anyone had good experiences with gary cahill and if he is worth getting as i already have ryan shawcross

Definitely, was a rock for me on my save before my laptop crashed, scored a few aswell..

Very solid defender and is consistently good. Worth a purchase and does even better when catching on into his late 20's.

I bought Cahill in my Toon save early on and paired him with Mirel Radoi. The pairing worked a treat and helped me book a CL place. Just be sure and offer him a good contract (with a healthy buy out) because the big boys want him quickly.
