Gateshead 3 East Fife 0 (Pre Season)

Danny Welbeck scored a double as Gateshead got there pre season off to a good start agaisnt a much weaker East Fife side. Welbeck headed in on 17 mins after a good cross from Wayne Phillips and he doubled his tally just before half time with a great solo run into the box to slip one past the keeper. Curtis made it 3-0 on the 76th minute with a freekick from 20 yards.

Gateshead 2 Rangers 1

A brilliant and unexpected result against a strong Rangers team. Rangers took the lead on 15 minutes with a long range effort from McCulloch. Rangers should have made it 2 but Boyd missed an open goal just before Schofield made it 1-1 on 257. Rangers pressed and battered Gateshead but surprisingly Gateshead made it 2-1 when Mackie scored on 37. Rangers had countless chances in the second half but could not find a way passed Stubhaug who looks like he will be a good signing.

6 years to the Championship isn't a bad goal. I'll follow. Gateshead are in BSN yeah?

Pre Season

Gatesheads unbeaten pre season was ended after a hard fought game with Derby County. Jack Wilshere scored both goals for derby on 14 and 21 mins and it looked like they could run away with it. But after the break Gateshead got back into it when Welbeck scored from a Peters corner on 68 mins. Despite pushing hard both teams failed to score again and it finsihed 2-1 to Derby.

First Game.

Gateshead 6 Mansfield 1

Im a game i was expected to lose i was pleasantly surprised with a comfortable win. Danny welbeck was the man of the moment scoring 4 goals in the first half. Mansfield scored early on in the second half with an OG from Ikeme but Gateshead continued to shine with a goal from Schofield and an OG to make it 6-1.

Signed Kal Naismith from Rangers Under 19s also got Alan Sheehan on loan from Leeds.

Welbeck

if you can then i would advise anyone at this level to try and get Danny Welbeck it might be hard unless like me you can get Man Utd as a parent club. I didnt think he would sign but he did and after pre season and one match he looks like a great signing. i hope if i can get promoted i can keep him on loan for next season to..

Match 2

A close match with York ended in a 1-0 win for Gateshead. Both teams had chances in both halves but it was Danny Welbeck who grabbed the winner in injury time to ensure Gateshead have played 2 and won 2. After the match the manager said "if Welbeck gets injured i dont know if my team could cope"

You are joking !! How did you get Welbeck !! The best i have got for them is Aaron Spear for Newcastle :O

Danny Welbeck

They are my parent club and i was surprised when he came too..

August and half of September...

I have just finished my first month and half of my first season as Gateshead manager. I was unbeaten in my first 6 games but my keeper got injured and i ended up losing 3-0 to Ebsfleet but after that i got back on track with a 6-2 win over Kidderminster and then a 4-1 win over Tamworth. I predicted mid table but if i can keep this up maybe playoffs i hope. Still early though so please keep following and let me know what you think.

All feedback is welcome positive and i suppose negative lol. Its my first time so be kind :P

Come October i am going to start posting differently so you can see my resuls and scorers for each game each month with a screenshot of the league at the end of each month or when you request it :P

A dont think a would be where i am without Welbeck will need a whole new team though if i go up just hope i get enough money to do it

October

Gateshead 5 AFC Wimbledon 1 (Sheehan x2, Welbeck, Naismith, OG)

Gateshead 4 Histon 1 (Peters x2, Mackie, Wilson)

Salisbury 0 Gateshead 1 (Gate)

Wrexham 1 Gateshead 2 (Welbeck, Naismith)

A great month for me with 4 wins and a draw i am still massively overachieveing but im not complaining another few months of this and i cant see me not going up..

Kal Naismtih

Would recomend Kal Naismith to anyone in this division. I only got him on loasn from rangers but a bigger club might be able to buy him..
