I already have a story with Peterbrough but don't moan I will carry that one on and will update every 2 days as I will with this one.

Footballing legend George Weah has started his managerial career. The 43 year old Liberian ambassador who in 1999 was voted African footballer of the century has joined Zakarpattya, a small Ukranian club on a 1 year contract. The club are in the top Ukrainian league and are predicted to come 14th out of the 16 clubs in the league.

Weah 'I want to make the club one of the best in Ukraine, to compete with Dynamo Kiev and Shakhtar!'.

Lol yeah very very random. I wrote down 10 random ex-football legends and picked a number: George Weah. I then randomly picked this club :)

Bit of info on the club:

FC Zakarpattia is a professional Ukrainian football team from Uzhgorod, Ukraine. It was inaugurated in 1946 as Spartak Uzhhorod. Later in 1961 it was renamed to Verhovyna and in 1971 to Hoverla. In 1982 it was renamed to Zakarpattia and back to Verhovyna in 1997 for 2 years.
In 2001, Zakarpattia debuted in the Ukrainian Premier League, however, a last place finish saw them demoted back to the Ukrainian First League. They resurfaced again in the 2004-05 and 2007-08 but the club was unable to avoid relegation once again after taking last place.
